Classroom Projects

Donor’s Choose Projects for our Teachers

Unknown

Their Mission:

We make it easy for anyone to help a classroom in need, moving us closer to a nation where students in every community have the tools and experiences they need for a great education.

How It Works:

  1. You find a project: Find a classroom project that inspires you and give as little as $1. We’re a public charity, so your donation is tax-deductible.
  2.  Donors Choose fulfills the order: When a project is fully funded, we purchase all the requested items and ship them directly to the school.
  3. Teachers thank you: Every donor gets a thank-you letter from the teacher, photos from the classroom, and a report of how each dollar was spent.

Current Projects Looking for Funding

Rock your Socks Off!

Mrs. Paulino-Trisdorfer, Music

This year, we will be incorporating the latest craze in music ed, modern band in the classroom. Students will ALL take part in the creation, performance and production of covers and original music.

Students will play trombone, drum set, guitar, piano, percussion, lead and back up vocals, dance, record-engineer, and audio produce all within the confines of the general music classroom!

By funding my project, we will have all of the items we need to complete our production center in the classroom!

Working, as a group, on a music production has life long benefits to students: team building, raising self-esteem, problem solving, mindfulness, respect, learning to take critiques…the benefits are endless, and that doesn’t even include MAKING AMAZING MUSIC!!!

Help up get these items to finish out our music studio!

Pegboard Art Wall

Ms. Johnson, Art

Pegboard Fundraiser

The geniuses at IKEA strike again.  These uber efficient storage walls would replace the bulletin boards in the Art room – allowing for hanging artwork AND supplies!  In addition,  that also frees up those bulletin boards to be moved to the Art hallway and beautify that space, used also during lunch.  Everyone wins!

Books

Mrs. Wirshup, 6th & 7th Grade

Over the years, I have received so much support for my students and our work together. The kindness and generosity have always been greatly appreciated each year! This year, instead of asking you all to support a large project, I’m asking for your help to support a small one. This year, I’m asking for support in purchasing just one new novel for each student in my three middle school English classes. I would love to start the new year for my students with a new and updated library filled with current, engaging and authentic texts for my students to enjoy! If you’re interested in helping, please visit our Amazon Wish List and purchase just one novel for our class- there are tons of great options! While checking out, please consider adding a note of encouragement for my kids- they would love to hear how many of us are rooting for their success towards reading excellence!
