Philadelphia’s neighborhood public schools need the support of their community to thrive and survive in light of the ongoing financial struggles of the Philadelphia School District. Over the past several years, the leadership of the C.W. Henry School PTA has worked to initiate and strengthen connections with neighbors and community organizations in Mt. Airy and the surrounding neighborhoods. Through these partnerships we have sought to strengthen the resources of the school and the PTA’s capacity to support the school. Support from neighbors and community partners has included collaborative programming, help with volunteer recruitment, in-kind donations, financial contributions, advocacy, and assistance with sharing news about school programs, events, and needs. Thank you for your ongoing support!
Community Partners include:
-
Businesses in the Mt. Airy Village – Weaver’s Way Co-op, High Point Café, Big Blue Marble Bookstore, Philadelphia Salvage, The Nesting House, and Springboard Studio.
In addition to our neighborhood partners, we have Event Sponsors and supporters who we would not be able to survive without.
