Classroom Projects

Donor’s Choose Projects for our Teachers

Unknown

Their Mission:

We make it easy for anyone to help a classroom in need, moving us closer to a nation where students in every community have the tools and experiences they need for a great education.

How It Works:

  1. You find a project: Find a classroom project that inspires you and give as little as $1. We’re a public charity, so your donation is tax-deductible.
  2.  Donors Choose fulfills the order: When a project is fully funded, we purchase all the requested items and ship them directly to the school.
  3. Teachers thank you: Every donor gets a thank-you letter from the teacher, photos from the classroom, and a report of how each dollar was spent.

Help Our Stories Come Alive!

Ms. Johnson, Autistic Support

My classroom is full of smart, intelligent, and fun individuals who have autism.

Help me give my students a color printer to make their stories come alive!  In our autistic support classroom, storytelling comes naturally.  Through my students’ stories, I get to step into their imagination.

We will use the printer to print stories written by students as well as their illustrations.  My students will be able to their work when it is printed.

I have found that writing is a channel that helps my students express what they are going through or share their imagination.

Many of my students are also artists and love using websites to illustrate their writing.  We can only share them on the whiteboard at this time, but with a printer, my student’s art can be part of their permanent product!

Books for Performing Arts Library

Mrs. Paulino-Trisdorfer, Music, Choir & Theatre

We are back in school AND back in the studio!  Our brand new vocal/dance studio is doing great so far, but needs a little more pizazz!  Our story corner library, that was started during the pandemic, is a HUGE success.

Our music library truly blends literacy and the arts by providing beautiful, interesting books and illustrations about some of the worlds most famous musicians, actors and dancers.

With your help, our library will literally DOUBLE in size!  Thank you in advance for donating to my students, we would love to have some awesome new books for our new classroom!

Mrs. Wirshup, 6th & 7th Grade

Over the years, I have received so much support for my students and our work together. The kindness and generosity have always been greatly appreciated each year! This year, instead of asking you all to support a large project, I’m asking for your help to support a small one. This year, I’m asking for support in purchasing just one new novel for each student in my three middle school English classes. I would love to start the new year for my students with a new and updated library filled with current, engaging and authentic texts for my students to enjoy! If you’re interested in helping, please visit our Amazon Wish List and purchase just one novel for our class- there are tons of great options! While checking out, please consider adding a note of encouragement for my kids- they would love to hear how many of us are rooting for their success towards reading excellence!
